Preparing For A Move Of God Part 2

Image
Attaining or seeing a move of God or the power of God sweeping over all things in our sphere of influence starts with us the Worshippers. It's not someone else job or idea it actually start with us, we are the link to this and the power is then seen when we are corporate agreement to one thing. In our pursuit to see people change, in our pursuit to see the altar of God and the move of God in and amongst the people we serve and lead, we have to come to a place where we know who God is personally and come to a place where we have a resolve that is unshakeable. As worshippers the best way to know the God is by us spending time with the word of God and seeing it become alive in our lives. When we stay in the word we will come up to a place where we meet scriptures like these that say "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it". God is calling us to a specific place where we shall live and abide, where we shall get to enjoy his promises and blessings and commanded blessings. Dear friends, let's make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts us, both within and without. “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God”. 2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV   Courtesy of  www.wisegeek.com May we choose to remove ourselves from the things that easily entangle us, "Let us cleanse ourselves" this cleansing or detox isn't meant for God. Happy New Year Worshippers 2014 has started and it’s going to be an interesting year but you know as most people are on or have just finished a fast and people are seeking the face of the Lord in this season and it’s an important thing to do but my prayer is may we carry the very same heart as the 2014 curtains start closing. It’s easy to shout, sing and declare what the year will be and it’s not that easy to live everyday of it.    A couple of days ago I was listening to a song by KJ Scriven called “I Will Trust ” I started to think upon the song and I realized that a lot of the songs I love that are on my playlist have to do with trust. I realized that I love and I listen to a lot of songs about trusting in the Lord.  Trusting the Lord is not an easy thing, I haven’t even scratched a part of trusting the Lord, let alone have faith in God. I asked myself a question if I say I trust in God then why doesn’t God do what He wants in my life, if I trust Him then he has ac

Characteristics Of A Worshipper

Being a child of God and being called a Christian qualifies a person to be a worshipper, whether you have a sweet voice or a horsey voice, whether you can dance or you have CRD (Caucasian Rhythm Disorder) in God’s books you qualify as a worshipper. The name of a person reveals their character and the quality of worship reveals the character of a worshipper . Just like the names of God reveal his character and a worshipper is known his or her character. Characteristics of a Worshipper Brokenness and Humility “ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise” Psalms 51:17   “The LORD is nigh (near) unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit” Psalms 34:18 “Because your heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heard his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbled thyself before me, and didst rend thy clot
