Worship should be a reflex action in our lives. Our hands should automatically be extended in the air and songs should just come out of our hearts. We walk in and out of our houses but then we are walking in and walking out of the presence of God because our hearts and minds haven’t been prepared to worship The spirit is always willing and wanting the things of God but at times worship may not happen because the mind and the heart isn’t in that right place. Just today we were talking about movies and acting and someone mentioned how Leonardo Di Caprio in one of his movies he was so focused that in the morning he just walked without a word out of his trailer and walked on the scene and shot the scene and walked back to his trailer and was seen the next day. One of my friends said these actors get into the character by training their minds so that he can act a certain role. Before we can even understand the concept of the word we need to have a personal relationship with the word and truth of God we need to learn to have a relationshipwith the spirit of God, He alone will cause us to know the truth of God written in his word. Jesus said that the spirit will help us to understand and know the truths of God and will bring into remembrance of what we will have learnt. Being a worship leader isn’t about the voice alone, the team, the band and the killer reefs and turnarounds we make. I personally believe that there is so much more to worship leading or just being worshipper than what meets the eye.   A key place of our lives is in worship whether you are a singer, pastor, church member or even an usher. Whilst praise in an expression of admiration and appreciation, worship is an expression of love and adoration. It is possible to admire someone and appreciate what they do without loving them. Worship has to do with our love for the Lord that is, giving Him our whole heart and life. We express our feelings towards God. This is why the greatest commandment is “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” [Matthew 22:37]. The Bible commands us to worship God. Israel was to worship God as Lord and Him alone. “I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous

The power of praise is a weapon in spiritual warfare. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” [2Cor 10:4]. All victories, whether the result is an instan3taneous deliverance from a circumstance or simply strength to endure a long difficult trial, flow from God’s nature and character alone. God’s manifest presence is our victory, and praise makes room for the fullness of his presence. “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel” [Psalms 22:3]. If God inhabits our praise then, praising saturates the circumstance with God’s manifest presence. God set up his throne or dwells where his people praise him. We say a herd of cattle, a congregation of Christians, but we say a ‘palace of praise.’ Because it is God’s dwelling place. Satan cannot operate in God’s manifest presence. When we praise someone we tell Him how wonderful [we think] he is, or how great his accomplishments are. It is the same with God. All true praise has something to do with acknowledging and focusing on God’s nature, character and power. It has elements of complimenting, glorifying, honouring and exalting God. Praise also involves joyful thanking and adoring of God, and celebration of his goodness and grace. To have effective praise we need to understand the attitude of God, the object of our praise. We have to know God. Worship is giving, offering, presenting glory, honour, majesty, power and worth to Him who seats on the throne and this is done in various ways. One would use music, one could serve God, one would minister to God, surrender his or her life towards God, one would kneel, one would dance and one would live his life consecrated for God. There are many ways to express our worship. Worship starts from the heart and we use whatever we have to express it to God. Today when I read this scripture in Ezekiel 46, it took me aback and this came out of this scripture. “And thou shalt daily offer a burnt-offering unto Jehovah, of a yearling-lamb without blemish: thou shalt prepare it morning by morning” , Ezekiel 46: 13. Basically here God is instructing Israel that they offer a lamb which a year old every morning of their lives to God. She would say if you are going to be in this choir, band or banners you need to read, live and understand the word of God. In my mind I would be like oh yah, how does singing and reading the bible connect but it took me a while till I got the understanding of how important it is to know his word. Arm Twist Worship and Worshipping for a breakthrough or worshipping without string attached out of love, no obligations. God knows all our desire before we even ask for them in prayer, even in fasting and I always says that it is better to come before the Lord and worship Him out of the abundance of your heart and not hold back. Arm Twist worship as I call it, is when we worship the Lord because we need deliverance, I worship the Lord big time when I need something to from Him. Those that live in an attitude of worship don’t even need to ask all they do is lift their hands, mouths and hearts and just declare the Lord and before they are done whatever they desired in their hearts that Lord would have fulfilled.
