Hearing God As A Worshipper

Image
Don’t you have those kinds of friends and relatives who tell you amazing stories of their vision with the Lord Jesus or the dreams they had walking with Jesus or people who hear God’s voice and can see God in literary everything they walk in? Even the ones who see God in odd things, colors, incidences and they hear God speaking to them.  You could be like me, I haven’t heard God’s audible voice or see him in a vision or trance, I try and read things and I usually fail and suck at those things. It is then asking the question is how do we hear God’s voice or train my ear to hear God’s voice because we always told God is always speaking we just not listening enough. How many have tried to listen and you heard nothing.  You could be like me, I haven’t heard God’s audible voice or see him in a vision or trance, I try and read things and I usually fail and suck at those things. It is then asking the question is how do we hear God’s voice or train my ear to hear God’s voice becau

Just Walk In And Out Of His Presence Like That!

Worship should be a reflex action in our lives. Our hands should automatically be extended in the air and songs should just come out of our hearts. We walk in and out of our houses but then we are walking in and walking out of the presence of God because our hearts and minds haven’t been prepared to worship The spirit is always willing and wanting the things of God but at times worship may not happen because the mind and the heart isn’t in that right place. Just today we were talking about movies and acting and someone mentioned how Leonardo Di Caprio in one of his movies he was so focused that in the morning he just walked without a word out of his trailer and walked on the scene and shot the scene and walked back to his trailer and was seen the next day. One of my friends said these actors get into the character by training their minds so that he can act a certain role. I had a fever a few weeks ago and it’s funny how sickness makes you aware that God is God, your mind get so con

Words or No Words, Lyrics or No Lyrics, I Can Worship God

Image
Personally I love one thing that I have been noticing in the body of Christ that people are starting to understand that worship isn’t just singing songs or playing music but that Worship is beyond lyrics. We then have a crop of people in the same space who don’t know what to do if they don’t have music or words, yes they know that worship is beyond that but then what else can they do. “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's”. 1 Corinthians 6:20 John Wesley said this in response to this verse “Yield your bodies and all their members, as well as your souls and all their faculties, as instruments of righteousness to God. Devote and employ all ye have, and all ye are, entirely, unreservedly, and forever, to his glory.” Our bodies are meant to glorify God, outside words, lyrics and music our lives can minister glory, our bodies can bless the Lord through the way we live daily and the way we carry ourselves in

Why Worship When God Doesn't Answer

Image
Worship is our response to God, when God speaks to us or reveals himself to us our immediate response should be Jon in the most trying time of his life worshipped and then he didn’t hear God but he the declared this scripture when God did not respond to his plea.  “Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD”, Job  1:20-21 Even David when his son with Bathsheba was sick unto death he “arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat”, 2 Samuel 12:20   ·          God is good and God is sovereign ·          When life falls apart are inclination is to blame God ·

Shaking The Throne Room of God....

What moves God is worship. Look in the bible, looks at the stories written about the lives of the men of faith, their lives, their worship and sacrifices then God always responded to their worship. In today worship we now rate and measure God's response according to the number of goose bumps or chicken skin we feel when we are worshipping. What moves God is praise because it’s his very nature  What shakes the foundation of throne room is when men worship Him earnestly. We were created in the presence and likeness of God, every human being was created to worship because that is God’s very nature, Worship. Even Lucifer was created as a being of perfect worship hey say he oozed worship and that shows you that God is all about worship. His likeness is worship; He has no choice but to respond to worship any day any time. “ The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over th

Entering His Presence

Image
A few weeks ago, we had a bible with my family and we were talking about the presence of God and Psalm 100:4 came to the fold of this debate and this question was asked, "since we are people of the New Testament and also we are in an era of the Holy Spirit. Do we enter into his presence or we live in his presence?     " Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name " Psalm 100:4 KJV In church you will have worship leaders saying “Let Us Enter God Presence”. As a church and as worship leaders do we understand what we say or have we become so accustomed to a notion and understanding which we are not even sure of. 1.       If you say you enter in, it also means you will leave. So if we say that we enter in it means that at the end we will leave or exit the presence of God. As worshippers we don't enter & leave afterwards or do we live in his presence. 2.       Matthew 18:

Praise, A Weapon in Spiritual Warfare

The power of praise is a weapon in spiritual warfare. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” [2Cor 10:4]. All victories, whether the result is an instan3taneous deliverance from a circumstance or simply strength to endure a long difficult trial, flow from God’s nature and character alone. God’s manifest presence is our victory, and praise makes room for the fullness of his presence. “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel” [Psalms 22:3]. If God inhabits our praise then, praising saturates the circumstance with God’s manifest presence. God set up his throne or dwells where his people praise him. We say a herd of cattle, a congregation of Christians, but we say a ‘palace of praise.’ Because it is God’s dwelling place. Satan cannot operate in God’s manifest presence. In 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 during the dedication of the temple, the Israelites praised the Lord such, that the manifest presence of God

What is Praise?

Image
This week article was written by our Guest Blogger Taka Sande. . Praise is an expression of admiration and appreciation. When we praise someone we tell Him how wonderful [we think] he is, or how great his accomplishments are. It is the same with God. All true praise has something to do with acknowledging and focusing on God’s nature, character and power. It has elements of complimenting, glorifying, honouring and exalting God. Praise also involves joyful thanking and adoring of God, and celebration of his goodness and grace. To have effective praise we need to understand the attitude of God, the object of our praise. We have to know God. As we praise we focus on God’s; self-sufficiency, eternity, totality, love, presence, greatness, glory, uniqueness, holiness, Excellency, strength, reliability, majesty, creativity, generosity, ability, justice, beauty, kindness, forgiveness, faithfulness, powerfulness, righteousness, mercifulness, joy, stability, wonderfulness, truthfulness, patienc

The Move & Flow Of The Holy Spirit

Image
How is it that we are missing to see the Holy Spirit but on a hot and sunny summer day you can locate even a small cloud that’s miles away even at night we can see a small fire at the top of the mountain we can recognise that fire from kilometres away. So why can we not recognise the Holy Spirit when he moves if he is as big as a cloud and if he is like a fire in night. In their forty years in the wilderness the children of Israel didn’t have a say in the manner in place or position of where the tabernacle was to be placed. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: Exodus 13:21   So when the pillar of cloud or pillar of fire moved The Levites and Priest would go a three days journey ahead of the camp to set up the tabernacle onto the place where the pillar would stop. How many of us in our worship follow the Holy Spirit where He is going and what He wan

Scrtipture References of the Tongue and Lips in Praise and Worship

The Bible is the one place that we should turn to when we need understanding about any worship and reading through it you will find these scriptures that talk about the tongues and lips in relation to worship: Tongue “My tongue is the pen of a ready writer”. Psalms 45:1 “My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame that seek my hurt”. Psalms 71:24 “ And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long ” . Psalms 35:28 And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.   O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise”. Psalms 51:14-15 “ I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue”. Psalms   66:17 “Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them”. Psalms 126:2 Lips “ My soul shall be satisfied as w
