“Clean Break For Me The Worshipper”

Image
God is calling us to a specific place where we shall live and abide, where we shall get to enjoy his promises and blessings and commanded blessings. Dear friends, let's make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts us, both within and without. “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God”. 2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV   Courtesy of  www.wisegeek.com May we choose to remove ourselves from the things that easily entangle us, "Let us cleanse ourselves" this cleansing or detox isn't meant for God. It's meant to be done by us. Take a look at your life. Think of the things that you need to separate yourself from and let’s live Holy for God. Before we can grab ahold of these let's make our entire walk into a place of where we are clean and holy temples for the glory of God. Let us press delete to some of our relationships, ways o

Why God Is Fussy About His Presence

Image
From www.ilovejccafe.com So many times we wonder why God is always asking us to Worship Him when He is always receiving perfect worship in heaven. David always made mention and desired to be in the presence of the Lord but then come to think of it. Why the presence of the Lord, why do I have to take time to chase after the presence of the Lord? Someone sent me this scripture a couple of days ago and I was amazed by it and what it stands for. “And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it.   Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore ” Joshua 3:3-4   So many times as Christians we are happy just having the presence of God in our lives, feeling Him, hearing him, goose bump

Glory of God, Glory Upon Men. Living The Difference

Image
The glory of the Lord is what we live for, to bring him glory. In old English they would say glory is to ascribe or give back the honour and splendor to him who deserves it. Glory in Hebrew and Greek speaks of splendor, light, rarity, honour beauty and abundance. God is already full of glory (honour, power, majesty, rarity) and there is nothing we can do to change it. He already receives perfect worship from all angels and heavenly beings. We can not change that and we can’t subtract from that, He remains God but glorifying God is the essence of our lives. “ For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour ”, Psalms 8:5 KJV This glory within us that has been crowned upon man is what causes people like Jay Z to call themselves Jehovah. It is that glory within man that causes many to seek after themselves and not God. “That no flesh should glory in his presence” , 1Corithians 1:29 God spoke about it that we shouldn’

How To Touch Generations Through Worship

Image
Touching generations though worship isn't the real intention we stand and lift up the name of Jesus. With our world full of different generations plus the future generations, we see that worship reaches to that whole spectrum. Touching generations is a byproduct of our worship, it's not the focus but God blesses us in return with the ability to touch a generations. Reading though Psalms I have learnt something about Worship, it's not just declaring or showing forth his word but It is also a means to witness, proclaiming and herald the message of the kingdom to the current generation both old and young, unbelievers and generations to come. 1. "One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works". Psalms 145:4-5. It shows that as we worship we are speaking and declaring the message of God to the world and to the generations to come making

Joyful Noise and The Power Of The Mouth: Biblical References

Joyful noise To Be Joyful means - Full of joy; very glad; exulting “A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands”. Psalms 81:1 “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms”. Psalms 95:2 “With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King”. Psalms 98:6 “To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm. Psalms 71:15 “Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day”. Psalms 71:8 “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the av

The Place of the Word of God in Worship

Image
God uses his word within us to speak to us, God always builds on his word. The more the word of God you have in you, the more God speaks to you.   As you read and know the word, God builds you on the inside and speaks to you more and in the process this changes your personal walk with Him revolutionizing your worship. I have seen worship leaders who look like nothing on the exterior or those that don’t meet the profile and not vocally talented but when they sing heavens open for them. Why? " The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple" .   Psalms 119:130. If we can live in a place where our worship is based on his word then we walk and lead people in the light because the word of God leads and guides us. His word brings understanding to us and as worship leaders we have access to understanding because we know his word, “ to know his word is to know Him” . It’s not just about singing songs or leading people it’s about creat

Being Led By The Holy Spirit In Worship

Image
The Holy Spirit is the 3 rd person of the Godhead, Trinity and the Holy Spirit is not a thing or item, He is a God. Times and again we forget that the Holy Spirit is himself God   Leading Worship is bringing people to the feet of God, leading people is about bringing them to place where they can encounter the King of Kings. Worship goes beyond us just singing songs or singing songs which are popular and which gets people dancing.  The Holy Spirit is one person who knows and understands realms of the spirit more than anyone. Jesus before he ascended he said “ But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance... ”, John 14:26 He is there to teach us all things, help us, to walk with us and to show us how to work things in life.  A teacher will always be there but the student has to be there for the teacher to teach. You want to be led by the Holy Spirit in worship t
