Preparing For A Move Of God: Part 2 - Power Over Sin

Image
As worshippers our desire and heart is to see the move of God, is to see people connect and fall in love with God. To see mankind basking in his presence and God touching people's hearts and he in turn dwelling on our praises. We shouldn't be driven by comments about how we did or played or how well we executed the new song more than being focused on hearing God and bringing people to his feet. It's easy to be in a crew, dance troupe, band or choir and hide away in it but when it comes to worship time before God you are standing alone before him alone. Not with anyone else but just alone. There is this one thing that you get to see happen when we take our time and invest in knowing the word of God and not just knowing the word but understanding its impact in our lives all around.   The manual we have says this, "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you", John 15: 3. As we read the word of God it makes us clean by the washing that com

Preparing For The Move Of God - Purity

Image
So many times we are so concerned and worried about how we sound and how we are being seen, the image of our lives, how PC (Politically Correct) we are. We are concerned about our image, how deep people think we are, what will people say after we leave the room or we lead worship on Sunday. We try our best to use the music, clothes, our voice to try and portray how deep and awesome we are in life. When you look back at the end of the day what is important is that have we stood in our place and allowed or facilitated God  to meet men and men to meet God. We want things to happen when we pray and when we lead worship, or when we do that solo or that special in church or at an outreach. Impact starts with us, individually as Worshippers and one of the things that causes us to see things happen in our lives is when we allow the word of a God to purify and clean us. Just like in Psalms 12: 6-7 which says "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth,

Scrtipture References of the Tongue and Lips in Praise and Worship

The Worship Is Not In The Bowing.

So the big question was why do I have to do it, they say raise your hand and bow down but I don’t think that matter you know. God is looking at my heart and he is not worried about what I do. So I thought of it and just searched about this presumption and this is what I found out.  The worship is not in the bowing but the worship is in the condition of the heart that the whole story here. God sees your worship in the attitude of bowing. In my culture bowing Is a sing to show respect to the elders, when you enter a courtroom you are supposed to bow and address the judge as your worship think about that, Asians bow as a sign of respect and they say the depth of your respect is seen in how low you bow. Universal cultures and traditions show us that when you bow you are showing respect and reverence of the person you are meeting or respect to the seat they occupy and then we come to Christ and we say that our worship is not in the bowing.  Hebrews are very expressive in their

Why We Shout For Joy or Offer A Joyful Noise..

Image
To utter a sudden and loud outcry, usually in joy, triumph or exultation, A loud burst of voice or voices Shout and Joyful Noise come from the same Hebrew root word which is “Rua” and it means to shout figuratively means to split the ears ( with sound) raise a sound or blow an alarm a cry out, give a blast Shouting or a Joyful Noise is not a timid whisper, I’m shouting in my heart. It’s an explosive joyful noise to God! It goes beyond a small voice or loud voice it’s actually loud for a reason. The meaning for a shout and also for a joyful noise are the same that I feel they can be used interchangeably. Shouting was used to mean singing aloud and also to express victory in the bible like when the walls of Jericho. Shouting is also used to express a sudden joy and happiness it was used alarm or danger and this was later replaced with a trumpets and warning drums. One other use it was used for was a cry for help to the Lord.   “When the ark of
