Open My Mouth, Praise Overflow

Image
Someone once wrote that or mouths are open sepulchers (tombs), that at times, is proven true by the way we live our lives.  James 3:10 states that, " Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be " I know they are those who were born and bred in the church and haven’t allowed foul things to flow and roll out of their lives but then when you look at the way God created things. Our mouths are instruments of worship just as much as our lives are lived for worship. King David one certified sinner who had a huge heart for God’s ways and truth, once cried out to the Lord in Psalms 51 which was written after he had realized his sin with Bathsheba and he just breaks down before God and he asks " O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise " Psalm 51:15 KJV  May the cry of hearts be nothing else but that our mouth may be vessel and instruments of worship, D

The Spirit: Is Life of a Worshipper

Image
It doesn’t matter what instrument you play or what song you sing or that you stand at the back of the row and people don’t recognize you. The bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks and as a worshipper if your heart and life is full of his spirit then however you minister you minister out the spirit with which you are full off As a worshipper leading a choir or a church into God whatever you condition that you have will be carried into the crowd. If there is lethargy in your spirit that condition is forwarded into the people, you give what you carry.      If we can sing, speak or serve or do all we do by the spirit we are giving God an opportunity to create life because the spirit creates life wherever it goes. Jesus said “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. John 6:63 . If we all our ministry, songs, bible studies, homes are full of the spirit then the life of God is dispensed into people’s lives and situations.

How To Touch Generations Through Worship

Image
Touching generations though worship isn't the real intention we stand and lift up the name of Jesus. With our world full of different generations plus the future generations, we see that worship reaches to that whole spectrum. Touching generations is a byproduct of our worship, it's not the focus but God blesses us in return with the ability to touch a generations. Reading though Psalms I have learnt something about Worship, it's not just declaring or showing forth his word but It is also a means to witness, proclaiming and herald the message of the kingdom to the current generation both old and young, unbelievers and generations to come. 1. "One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works". Psalms 145:4-5. It shows that as we worship we are speaking and declaring the message of God to the world and to the generations to come making

Worship Is and Can Be Dangerous Part 4

Image
Worship is and can be dangerous to everyone around you especially if it is bounces from heaven. We have to take time to learn how to handle a knife before we can use it. Worship is a great blessing to the body of Christ as it allows us direct access to the throne room anytime of the day but it can also destroy us if handled wrongly just like knife. Today we start in 1 Samuel 13 where we meet King Saul facing war with the Philistines and they set a very huge army “thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people were like the sand which was on the sea shore in multitude”. Saul brought all Israel to the war ground, so that they could fight with the Philistines, one huge problem was that Israel was in terror and was frightened of the huge Philistines army that was against them. “And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. And Saul said, Bring hithe

In Genesis 4 we meet the two sons of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, this story hasn’t set well with me and it sill is. God brought me to a certain revelation about how serious he is about worship and its still bringing a lot of elements out of it and I pray that God may reveal to you more about this chapter beyond what he has revealed to me so far. “One has to dig into the heart attitude, what God requires from you, not what you feel like doing for Him” Wilhelm Olivier Cain was the 1 st born son of Adam and Eve and he was a farmer or agriculturalist, the bible say he was a was a tiller of the ground. Cain brought to God an offering which was from the fruit of the ground   Abel was the 2 nd son of Adam and Eve and was a keeper of sheep in simple terms he was a rancher, He was the younger brother to Cain and Abel also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.   It all starts with Cain and Abel bringing an offering before God and the turning

Listening In Two Directions: Listening To The Spirit While Practicing

Image
This Article was written by Stacey Gleddiesmith   http://thinkingworship.com The idea of listening to the Spirit during practice may seem silly. After all, you’re simply figuring out who plays what, when, and making sure everything will go smoothly when it’s time for the real deal. But practice is more than rote learning, or getting our musical ducks in a row (if  only  we all had musical ducks!). It’s also a moment of confirmation and adjustment. Either practice confirms that I’m following the Spirit’s voice or it is another opportunity for the Spirit to interrupt the “me-show” and re-align my plans with his calling and purpose. We may have planned well and thoroughly, and tried our best to listen as we did so, but sometimes our sin-selves still get in the way. As we, with prayer, enact the prayer-soaked plans we made, we  hear  we  feel  the places that are “not quite right.” The spots where my pride, or my agenda, or my selfishness got in the way of my service to the

In 2 Samuel 6:3, we meet King David carrying the Ark of The Lord into Jerusalem upon an ox drawn cart with huge celebrations and festive ambiances, ululating, dancing and music which were shortly cut when Uzzah was struck down by God as he was helping the stumbling Ark of the Lord.   “And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his err or; and there he died by the ark of God” 2Sa 6:7s   When the Ark was in the presence of the Philistines they were attacked by different diseases, Dagon fell face wards when the Ark was housed in the temple of Dagon. The Philistines shuddered when they heard noises in the Camp of Israel they knew that the Ark of God was brought into their camp. There are so many   points that we can learn from this story but the key ones for this article are listed below 1. The ark was carried in an ox drawn cart or covered wagon it was a Philistine system in which they used to transport the Presence of God whic
