“Clean Break For Me The Worshipper”

Image
God is calling us to a specific place where we shall live and abide, where we shall get to enjoy his promises and blessings and commanded blessings. Dear friends, let's make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts us, both within and without. “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God”. 2 Corinthians 7:1 KJV   Courtesy of  www.wisegeek.com May we choose to remove ourselves from the things that easily entangle us, "Let us cleanse ourselves" this cleansing or detox isn't meant for God. It's meant to be done by us. Take a look at your life. Think of the things that you need to separate yourself from and let’s live Holy for God. Before we can grab ahold of these let's make our entire walk into a place of where we are clean and holy temples for the glory of God. Let us press delete to some of our relationships, ways o

The Real Presence Of God

Image
You walk into any church and you will hear them singing about the presence of God or talking about the presence of God.  Lord we want to see you in your presence, Lord we want to know your presence, may we meet with in your presence this morning.   If you are lucky you will hear statements like this "the presence of God is here so lift up your hands". As a worshipper, church member or usher in your church, whichever department you serve in, I want to ask you this question, do you know what the presence of God is all about? Do you have a revelation of what the presence of God is all about? Today we are not talking about what the presence of God is and is not, we are not talking about the attributes of the presence of God either. The presence we speak about and write about do we understand it.  I see Ezekiel at River Chebar and God shows him vision of things to come all he could do was fall down until God spoke to him. When the real presence of God c

Living In The Presence of God

Image
We have been taught how to worship and we have been taught how to praise regardless of how and when, we worship because we love to but at the same time there is the presence of God that very few people have been taught about and know about. Pst Bonnie Deuschle calls the Great Connection that is entering his courts with praise and entering his gates with thanksgiving. In church we know how to get into the presence of God and as soon as we enter into his goodness we stop so that the Pastor can preach the message. Once we are in the presence of God we don’t know what to do.   I had never seen these scriptures before when I saw them I was amazed. “ Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear , than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth , and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few . Fo

Distractions In Worship

So many times we look to the external things that will distract our worship. So many times we look at the external factors, like band, my voice isn’t plus I have a cold and most of the time we blame it on the sound guys, things went that bad because we couldn’t hear ourselves onstage, no air conditioning was off and we were cold. So many times we look for someone to blame for the things that go wrong in our lives even in our worship. What are some of the things that hold us back from worshipping that stem from within our own lives?   1.       Guilt: So many times we are full of guilt that is just so ripe in our lives and we carry that guilt into the presence of God. That causes our attention to shift from God and we start worrying and thinking of ourselves and we lose sight of the God we worship. Either that or we feel so inadequate of everything and not worthy to stand in that place just like Isaiah said, “Woe I am a man of unclean lips” 2.       Sin   “But your

The Sacrificial Part of Worship: Lessons From Manoah

Image
In Judges 13 we meet the story of Samson’s birth when an angel came to announce the call of Samson upon Manoah’s wife. The Angel told her she was to conceive and bear a child and no razor would touch his head. She inturn told the Manoah about the visitation. Manoah was absent when the angelic visitation happened to his wife but regardless He chose to entreat (beseech, request for earnestly) God in his own place that the angel visits them again so that they can learn how to rear the child Samson in the manner that he should be brought up. The question is, how many of us are entreating (earnestly searching) the Lord to teach us worship,   Let alone lead us into worship the manner that he desires us to worship. Beyond Sunday are we chasing after God, beyond the four walls of church or mid-week services as worshippers do we have a relationship with the Lord. Worship is a lifestyle and daily experience and I know we are in a world full of things going on, but we need to grow b

The Ignorant Worshipper Part 2

God is not just a push over, a worship thirsty God, holding a three ponged fork growing fat from the worship and if we don’t worship Him he dies of thirst, God isn’t the God portrayed in TV with instant everything and quick fix deals and all, the one with unending wrath and anger.   His name is Jehovah King, He Is Lord. ·          The LORD most high is terrible Psalms 66:3 ·            King over all the earth Psalms 47:2 ·          God who sits upon the throne of his holiness Psalms 47:8 My bible tells me “ For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises WITH understanding ”. Psalms 47:7. So think for a while, we are to sing praise with understanding, what is understanding, how does it come about? Worship today has become a huge debate in churches and in other places they call it worship wars. Worship is the foundation of a Christian life; I’m not here to stir that pot I’m here to allow you to weigh where you are with what the word of God which is the m
