Lifestyle of Worship

Worship is giving, offering, presenting glory, honour, majesty, power and worth to Him who seats on the throne and this is done in various ways. One would use music, one could serve God, one would minister to God, surrender his or her life towards God, one would kneel, one would dance and one would live his life consecrated for God. There are many ways to express our worship. Worship starts from the heart and we use whatever we have to express it to God. Today when I read this scripture in Ezekiel 46, it took me aback and this came out of this scripture. “And thou shalt daily offer a burnt-offering unto Jehovah, of a yearling-lamb without blemish: thou shalt prepare it morning by morning” , Ezekiel 46: 13. Basically here God is instructing Israel that they offer a lamb which a year old every morning of their lives to God. Theologists agree that on this chapter God did not demand an evening sacrifice as he had done in the past. Sacrifices in the Old Testament were mostl

The Heart, the Mouth and the Worship

So many times we are fighting a lot amongst ourselves what is the best genre or music loops to use for our denominations some call it worship wars. Today let’s look at our own inner and individual worship wars. The heart, the mouth and the worship The heart It’s difficult to say which is the best body part or organ but the heart takes the crown for me, it does unimaginable job. But the heart is the core of everything, it’s the core of Christianity and it’s the core of our worship.  The mouth Of all body parts the mouth is one of the most amazing body parts that we have been given. Like James says “ James 3:10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be ”. The mouth is the last first part of the creative process and God spoke the word and it was, our mouth declare what has and is to be.   What does this have to do with Worship ? Someone once said Worship is reminding God who says He says in his wor

How Familiarity Kills Worship

Image
“What will take you to the top will sustain you at the top”, it’s a statement that I was taught when I was growing in the Lord. Funny enough I have been in place where I have gotten to the top and ditched this principle and the results where catastrophic in my life and the shame they brought its crazy. As worshipper and Christians we are slowly loosing reverence and honour to the things which are so important in life. Worship is one elements of the life of a Chr istian which can be destroyed by familiarity What familiarity will do: ·          Altar or stage The way you see it as either a stage or it’s an altar, if it’s a stage then you perform and if it is the altar then its holy ground and the way you conduct yourself there will determine your worship. I have been standing here since I was 6yrs old, I know how to do this, that’s familiarity, what if, God wants to break out in a different way unlike never before used to doing this and it has become an oh! that groun

The Trust Challenge, Something To Think About Part 2

Image
Trusting the Lord is not an easy thing, if we say we trust in God then why doesn’t God do what He wants in my life. How many people in the world said they trust God but we forget it all when things get tough and hard on the journey to where God is taking us? We have gotten so used to being in charge at life, family, work, ministry and letting all that go in a world that speaks of having it all, does Trusting the Lord stand a chance in your life?    “I’m going to issue you a challenge, Why not put your whole life in God’s hands, Why not trust him fully. I challenge you to give him full clearance to lead your life –every area of your life –until the point he proves himself to be trustworthy. At that moment you can bail out but until then give God total control. I challenge you to push the throttle as far as you can push it and live your life wide open to God and see where his way takes you. I have a feeling you will never regret it”  This is a passage from book I’
