Attaining or seeing a move of God or the power of God sweeping over all things in our sphere of influence starts with us the Worshippers. It's not someone else job or idea it actually start with us, we are the link to this and the power is then seen when we are corporate agreement to one thing. In our pursuit to see people change, in our pursuit to see the altar of God and the move of God in and amongst the people we serve and lead, we have to come to a place where we know who God is personally and come to a place where we have a resolve that is unshakeable. As worshippers the best way to know the God is by us spending time with the word of God and seeing it become alive in our lives. When we stay in the word we will come up to a place where we meet scriptures like these that say "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it". Worship is a relationship between the worshipper and the God who is being worshipped and it requires only a man and God. It’s not about a group, church, congregation or anything its one man and one God, worship is the time that a person has with God. Someone can’t worship on your behalf but only you, you alone can have a relationship with God My Worship is an expression of my relationship with God “Worship is the relationship that touches God’s heart and in turn He infuses our hearts with passion and compassion”. A few weeks ago, we had a bible with my family and we were talking about the presence of God and Psalm 100:4 came to the fold of this debate and this question was asked, "since we are people of the New Testament and also we are in an era of the Holy Spirit. Do we enter into his presence or we live in his presence?     " Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name " Psalm 100:4 KJV In church you will have worship leaders saying “Let Us Enter God Presence”. As a church and as worship leaders do we understand what we say or have we become so accustomed to a notion and understanding which we are not even sure of. 1.       If you say you enter in, it also means you will leave. When we praise someone we tell Him how wonderful [we think] he is, or how great his accomplishments are. It is the same with God. All true praise has something to do with acknowledging and focusing on God’s nature, character and power. It has elements of complimenting, glorifying, honouring and exalting God. You know the Old Testament was cool but we don’t live there anymore we now live under the dispensation of grace, someone said as I talked about holiness and worship. You know Jesus died for our sins and what we are today is by his grace and I realized this kind of teaching has come with the same gospel of universal salvation. Worship has evolved with time to mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. When you look in the bible you will realize that worship to them was the centre of their lives. Have you ever asked yourself what worship means to you, have you ever taken time to think about it and have you ever answered that’s question before? God is moved to show up in your life when you worship Him with everything and when He is the object of your worship. You can make any request once you are in his presence. Can’t we worship the Lord in a place where we say that God I know I am sick, I am penniless, I’m broken but I just want to bring my thanksgiving to you In spite of my situation I seek only you. Some will fight me on this but I believe that worship shouldn’t be about us but the centre of our worship should be God and we should take ourselves out of the equation and make sure that we glorify God for who He is and what He is worth.
