Don’t you have those kinds of friends and relatives who tell you amazing stories of their vision with the Lord Jesus or the dreams they had walking with Jesus or people who hear God’s voice and can see God in literary everything they walk in? Even the ones who see God in odd things, colors, incidences and they hear God speaking to them.  You could be like me, I haven’t heard God’s audible voice or see him in a vision or trance, I try and read things and I usually fail and suck at those things. It is then asking the question is how do we hear God’s voice or train my ear to hear God’s voice because we always told God is always speaking we just not listening enough. An altar is a place of sacrifice, a place where divinity met with man and it’s the place where God still meets mankind. Altars are not just an Old Testament thing but all of us have our place of sacrifice that’s our altar right there. We are not talking of the pulpit area in your church, the stage or the front where the choir sings from. An altar is not picked up on the floor like a coin which you have dropped and altar has to be built from scratch with the blueprint from God. Every time the patriarchs build an altar and sacrificed on that altar God responded and met them on the very same place. Yes we no longer kill animals these days but we have been made the temple of the most high “And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them”. Exodus 25:8 KJV and then Hebrews 8:2 KJV says “…the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man”. God desires that He, be a huge part of our lives and may we also reciprocate such a heart by the way we offer ourselves to him. Chri

We are living in era and season when men are just existing, there is so much coming against him especially the life of the Christian on a daily basis and that’s the reason why He is crushed beyond words. People walk into church services, conferences and concerts the still leave the same but we claim that Christ offers solutions. When you hear people such they are giving up on God, as Worshippers we have missed a huge part of our purpose and reason for existence. We are carriers of the ark of the covenant (glory of God) and we have stashed it somewhere away from the church to experience the presence of God because we ourselves have become dull and lifeless. If we are going to see a move of God coming through our time and generation then the we need to move to a place where a scripture like John 6:63 speaks of "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life". The songs we sing today, do we take time to think through them and do we take time to understand what they mean and the impact they have on our lives and future. Every song has an effect on the singer and to the one it’s been sung to. Watch what you sing and to who. To see if a song qualifies as a biblical and acceptable worship song to God let us look at 2 Chronicles 20:21 “ And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth forever ”.   As they worshipped God that very morning 1.       Did their songs reflect worshipful hearts? And do the songs we sing today reflect our hearts or we just offer lip service just as the word states they speak but their hearts are far from me. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, the song rolling out of our mouth are they reflecting the conditions of our hearts

Being a worship leader isn’t about the voice alone, the team, the band and the killer reefs and turnarounds we make. I personally believe that there is so much more to worship leading or just being worshipper than what meets the eye.   A key place of our lives is in worship whether you are a singer, pastor, church member or even an usher. Worship doesn’t just happen in the physical but a lot of our lives are lived in the spiritual and even when we worship a lot of things happen that we do not see hence we don’t get to appreciate the importance of worship.  “ And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha ”. 2 Kings 6:17 KJV All Elisha did was to pray for his servant to see what He was seeing in the spiritual realm, I guess Gehazi was just all over the place worried sick of the impending danger

You walk into any church and you will hear them singing about the presence of God or talking about the presence of God.  Lord we want to see you in your presence, Lord we want to know your presence, may we meet with in your presence this morning.   If you are lucky you will hear statements like this "the presence of God is here so lift up your hands". As a worshipper, church member or usher in your church, whichever department you serve in, I want to ask you this question, do you know what the presence of God is all about? Do you have a revelation of what the presence of God is all about? Today we are not talking about what the presence of God is and is not, we are not talking about the attributes of the presence of God either. Whilst praise in an expression of admiration and appreciation, worship is an expression of love and adoration. It is possible to admire someone and appreciate what they do without loving them. Worship has to do with our love for the Lord that is, giving Him our whole heart and life. We express our feelings towards God. This is why the greatest commandment is “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind” [Matthew 22:37]. The Bible commands us to worship God. Israel was to worship God as Lord and Him alone. “I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous

Worship calls not for an outward show or lip service but an inbuilt desire and passion which you express to Him in so many ways. Worship allows us to know God and connect with his presence in a deeper way. In the process of us worshipping God that he in turns adorns our lives with his glory and align us to his will and blessing. Such is not a 1hour programme, sporadic or regular routine but it is a lifestyle of worship that one daily lives and walks in. Worship in its nature requires certain characteristics from the worshipper, it sets a certain level of consecration and separation of the worshipper no matter who you are and what level you are. If you are a Worship Leader these characteristics of separation are to a certain level, a deeper one because of the office you would be holding.
