Tehillah Worship

One of the prayers that I have said over and over is, God teach me how to worship and teach me to live for you. One of the things that will become evident as you spend time and grow in the Lord is that you learn so many new things. As worshippers we should cry out and ask the Lord that he may teach us to worship but for many people it ends here because they have prayed. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded”. James 4:8 The brother of Jesus, James explains to us that as we draw near to the Lord, He will reciprocate because it’s his nature. God is not an unjust God. God desires that we come and search for Him in the process He orders our lives. How many of us run away from those friends of ours who always want something from us and they never reciprocate our gestures? If we run away from our friends then why do we treat God the same way ? God is calling us to a specific place where we shall live and abide, where we shall get to enjoy his promises and blessings and commanded blessings. You know the Old Testament was cool but we don’t live there anymore we now live under the dispensation of grace, someone said as I talked about holiness and worship. You know Jesus died for our sins and what we are today is by his grace and I realized this kind of teaching has come with the same gospel of universal salvation. If you don’t know what that Is the gospel of universal salvation says everyone shall be saved at the end of the world including the devil himself will be saved because of God’s infinite grace. In their eyes holiness, sanctity, offering is of the Old Testament. How Holiness has lost in place in worship is because we have allowed some form of teaching which isn’t of God to fill and flood our lives and our families. The centre of human life is the heart and this same heart is the same source of our worship. The heart is the heart of human existence. An unclean source of water gives out unclean water and its the same with our hearts.  Think about it, why does God keep pressing that we live our lives for Him.  Worship is the best place for us to know him and create a relationship with him through the Holy Spirit.  God wants us to experience his presence always and sin inhibits us from the place. Sin and iniquity are sent to attack the source of our worship, the heart, to taint it and destroy everything in the  path.
