Worship, Unforgiveness and Sin. The Challenge!
“Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD?
or who shall stand in his holy place, He that hath clean hands, and a pure
heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully”, Psalms 24:3
Worship
is the vehicle that is at the centre of God and it should be at the centre of our
lives also. God doesn't want men standing before Him and worshipping Him but
carrying unforgiven sin and unforgiveness full in our lives. The bible tells us
that God hates the sin in man, God doesn't hate the men and when we touch God
with our worship He inturns touches us with love as well but if we are to exalt
him the bible tells us to do it with clean hands and a pure heart.

David in 2 Samuel 11 found it difficult to worship God with the sin of
Bathsheba lingering in his life and as soon as he decided offer a guilt
sacrifice and dealt with his sin as soon as he finished, worship just bubbled
from his heart because he had let it go. Sin clothes your heart with dirt
and God can’t look at the sin though he loves the worshipper.
Even though David is the worst sinner in the world bible a title I have
given him but God still saw him as the man after his won heart. The heart of
God is that we dust ourselves always and make sure that we don’t walk in sin
and unforgiveness, live our lives for him. Worshipping with unforgiven sin and
unforgiveness in our hearts will not bring us to enjoy God and his presence.
Hide
not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my
help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. Psalms 27:9 David
believed that God’s face was at times hidden from him and I pray that God’s
face may it continually be shinning upon us always and every day. Sin will come
and when we fall may we rise up, deal with it so that we may continually live
in his presence beholding his face.
We should worship God with clean hands, a pure heart, and consecrated
spirit, sanctified, sin washed and forgiven hearts because that kind of worship
is acceptable. “Surely the upright shall dwell in thy presence”, Psalms 140:13
and “he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister (worship) to me”.
Psalms 15:2
Worship Him In The Beauty Of His
Holiness.
