Being Led By The Holy Spirit In Worship



The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Godhead, Trinity and the Holy Spirit is not a thing or item, He is a God. Times and again we forget that the Holy Spirit is himself God  

Leading Worship is bringing people to the feet of God, leading people is about bringing them to place where they can encounter the King of Kings. Worship goes beyond us just singing songs or singing songs which are popular and which gets people dancing. 

The Holy Spirit is one person who knows and understands realms of the spirit more than anyone. Jesus before he ascended he said “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance...”, John 14:26 He is there to teach us all things, help us, to walk with us and to show us how to work things in life. 

A teacher will always be there but the student has to be there for the teacher to teach. You want to be led by the Holy Spirit in worship then I will ask the question do you know him personally? We want the idea of God but we are now willing to take time to get to know Him. 

In your walk quiet time with the Lord do you have communion with him, do you know the Holy Spirit in your daily life. If you can walk daily with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and if you can know the Holy Spirit personally, then when He shows up and says lets go this way in worship you are able to listen and obey even when it doesn’t make sense.

So many times the Holy Spirit shows up in our lives, even if he speaks softly or he screams and shouts to get our attention but because we don’t know Him we miss his leading always. If we are to be led by him then we need to learn to walk with Him every day. Allow him to lead you in your own life and you can lead many to the throne room anytime, anyplace and where with or without instruments, band or sound.

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?  Luke 11:13 If you desire for your worship to grow to another level ask the Holy Spirit from the Father and he will teach and show you the  manner in which you shall worship.

We have received the Holy Spirit and now let’s learn to spend time with him alone in the closet, when we work, when we do everything. If we can have a relationship with him then our worship will no longer be ordinary.

Worship Him In The Beauty Of His Holiness

So many times we are so concerned and worried about how we sound and how we are being seen, the image of our lives, how PC (Politically Correct) we are. We are concerned about our image, how deep people think we are, what will people say after we leave the room or we lead worship on Sunday. We try our best to use the music, clothes, our voice to try and portray how deep and awesome we are in life. When you look back at the end of the day what is important is that have we stood in our place and allowed or facilitated God  to meet men and men to meet God. Characteristics Of A Worshipper

Being a child of God and being called a Christian qualifies a person to be a worshipper, whether you have a sweet voice or a horsey voice, whether you can dance or you have CRD (Caucasian Rhythm Disorder) in God’s books you qualify as a worshipper.
