Dangerous Worship
Are you worshiping God aright or you are doing it wrongly, are you receiving a blessing or you are incurring a curse when you are worship God. In 1 Chronicles we meet David and al Israel carrying the Ark into seal and as I was reading it was a wonderful revelation about worship altogether.
1 Chronicles 13:8-11
“And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets. And when they came unto the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God. And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: wherefore that place is called Perez-uzza to this day.”
Reading this passage was amazing in that David and all Israel had a right heart, right zeal of bringing the Ark of God into the Land of Israel and they were right. They were making merry, dancing and were so happy that the Ark of God was coming into the Land of Israel
Their hearts were right and their motives were correct their lives had the right motives but they executed them wrongly. They brought a new cart and oxen to carry the Ark and they brought Uzzah and Ahio to drive the new cart. They made wrong delivery systems when they placed Uzzah and Ahio to drive the cart. This is seen when Uzzah in his right heart helping the Ark from falling from the cart and God Smote him.
Their hearts were right, motives were right, their delivery system was wrong Uzzah died. David got angry, so is it with worship, you may have the right motives and the right heart, the right passion and desire and drive but delivered wrongly and God smote Him.
Think again what you are doing if it is bringing glory to God, so many worshipper incure curses because they worship wrongly instead of blessing they incurred curses by giving it wrongly. On priests and Levites, carried the ark and Uzzah and Ahio were not, that why God smote them as they did not know the importance of who carried it.
Dangerous worship is when you give worship to God and to God and you offer it wrongly think again about the worship that you give and look if your delivery system is right or you are offering God with the right worship
Are you motives right, passion aright and is your delivery of your worship to God is right especially if you are a worship leader. Are you incurring a blessing or curse, Pray and fast that God may hep you to bring Him the worship that is Due to his name.
