Because He is Worthy, We Worship Him


The question we have been dealing with, in these past few weeks is why we worship God, what is the reason for that which we do worship and today we continue with this question expounding it. We worship God because he is worthy of all praise.
“I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised” Psalms 18:3
“He is our praise He is our God” Deuteronomy 10:21
Worthy means  (a) having worth or merit or value;
                                (b) Having qualities or abilities that merit recognition
God is already worthy and mighty, that is one thing that is not going to change and there is nothing we can do about it. We worship God to tell him who He is, not that we worship because He has blessed us but that He is worthy. It’s not like God does not have creation to praise Him but we were created for the very this very reason that is to bring pleasure to Him all day.
Man was created especially for them to be intimate with God to know God more, trees or creation do not have intimacy with God only us. We will get to know God when we understand his worth to us as creation and mankind. With that understanding that He is worthy, worship Him and just adore him for that reason alone.
Our job is to minister, to bless God, to glorify, to honour, God Whether or not you know the names of God, whether or not you can rhyme them, sing them,  what we are here to do is glorify God for His Worth.
God’s worth is His glory, creative ability, the fact that he is God, the fact that He Rules, He reigns, His strength, the fact that He is love and that his power is greater than any doesn’t that make God more worthy of Worship. God does not need to show or do anything that can show that He is worthy it is because His qualities and abilities are merited.

The verse in 1 Chronicles 16:28-30 which says:

 “Ascribe unto Jehovah, ye kindreds of the peoples, Ascribe unto Jehovah glory and strength; Ascribe unto Jehovah the glory due unto his name: Bring an offering, and come before him: Worship Jehovah in holy array.”

It shows us that when we worship God we are delivering, giving to Him what already belongs to Him. That is worship, the worship that is due to Him alone. This is one of the reasons why God is jealous about worship because his worth cannot be compared with any or given out to other gods.

When we worship we are fulfilling the command and mandate as creation which is to worship Him, why should you always come before God with a reason, today why not just come before God and worship Him because He is worthy of worship, He is Worthy of all worship and praise

Worship is the central part of God and heaven but is the most misunderstood part of human life.
