The Power of Worshipping At His Feet. Part 2
Part 2 of the importance of worshipping at the feet of the Lord and going through scripture to see the kind of gates that are opened being at his feet with the focus is to understand what we are doing
Being at the feet of the Lord from the last issue we saw that at his feet we find grace and mercy, his feet are a place of healing and also that his feet are a place reverence and honour simply a perfect place to worship.
The feet of the Lord also represent
· Feet represent a place of healing:
“And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them”, Matthew 15:30
“For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet”, Mark 7:25
“Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched”. Luke 8:44
It was only when they left their diseases; sickness and problems at the feet of Jesus that healing flowed into their lives. Let our worship be a place of healing, blessings and mercy that no one has to lay hands on another or prophesy on another that as we worship at his feet that blessings and miracles break out into our lives because we know how to bring people to the feet if the Lord.
· Feet represent a place of learning
“I am verily a man, am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God”, Act 22:3
“Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words”, Deuteronomy 33:3
“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word”. Luke 10:39
To sit at the feet,” means to occupy the place of a learner, Hosea states that my people perish because of lack of knowledge and we have access to learn and bring people to come to a place of learning not just the truth but life itself.
Even when Martha complained to the Lord about much serving without the help of her sister the Lord told her that Mary had chosen the good portion, that is to seat the feet of Jesus and learn the heart of God. How many of us worship leaders are sitting not even at the feet of Jesus but sitting at the feet or another worshipper to learn.
As worshippers we need to learn worship, to learn from him the way and manner in which he wants us to worship him all our days. We need to sit at his feet (read his word) and get to the worship that bring glory to his name. What separates people in life is knowledge and how to use the knowledge they have gained for what they believe.
· Feet represent a place of dominion or authority
“For he hath put all things under his feet, But when he said all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him”.1Corinthians 15:27
“And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church”, Ephesians 1:22
Vanquished enemies had to submit to being trodden upon by the conqueror and this is always depicted as being under the feet or a ruler or conqueror, even the devil has been placed under our feet.. When we understand that all enemies submit at the feet of Jesus and we are his children we approach those same feet to receive boldness and dominion to face things in our families in life.
What do you desire in life it’s in the presence of God and when people gather any time all they need is in the presence of God. We need to bring people to the foot of the cross, to the feet of Jesus that is an open gateway to a world of the supernatural.
As worship leaders let us bring peoples of all races, colour, creed and all to the feet of Jesus we are not Christ, we cannot heal, we cannot extend mercy and grace so let’s not bring people to our feet but let us stand aside so that God may dazzle his people. As a worshipper we need to learn to be at his feet so that it’s easy to bring any other person to his feet.
“... Behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee”. Revelations 3:9Lord help us to live this verse starting today and teach us more about the feet of Lord and may our worship from this day forth start at the foot of the cross and finish in the presence of God all our days.
Amen
“Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; Worship The LORD In The Beauty Of Holiness”, Psalms 29:2
