Shopping List Worship



Worship has evolved with time to mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. When you look in the bible you will realize that worship to them was the centre of their lives. Have you ever asked yourself what worship means to you, have you ever taken time to think about it and have you ever answered that’s question before?

God is moved to show up in your life when you worship Him with everything and when He is the object of your worship. You can make any request once you are in his presence. Can’t we worship the Lord in a place where we say that God I know I am sick, I am penniless, I’m broken but I just want to bring my thanksgiving to you In spite of my situation I seek only you.
Some will fight me on this but I believe that worship shouldn’t be about us but the centre of our worship should be God and we should take ourselves out of the equation and make sure that we glorify God for who He is and what He is worth.

We make a shopping list to enter into his presence but God says enter into my presence with thanksgiving and praise. We choose to bring our list to God, I need healing today, I need a job, I’m slowly losing my family, I am feeling down so if I worship I will be okay.

God asks that we come into his presence with thanksgiving and joy but we come into his presence with a shopping list “Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms”, Psalms 95:2 

What we need in life is found in the presence of God, it is there in God’s presence all the answers, miracles, and blessings literally everything we need in life is found in his presence. What we need to learn is to access is His presence and all the things we need we would find them in his presence.

“Serve (worship) the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing”. Psalms 100:2  

Jesus in Matthew 6:8 says “Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him”. Before we bring our shopping list God already knows it and He asks us to learn to approach him in thanksgiving because thanksgiving brings us before God. Can’t we leave our shopping list and just chase after God with no desire but to seek Him?


Lord Jesus today I pray grant me understanding thanksgiving and its importance to you and me. Teach us not only to get into your presence but also to stay in your presence so that we may grab ahold of what is in store for us. Bring revelation in our lives to understand the power of thanksgiving and worship in Jesus Name. Amen

God gave us the key, the key is to “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name”, Psalms 100:4 Learn to offer thanksgiving in all you do, that is the key to unlock his presence. Once we unlock his presence over our lives we have unlocked every good and perfect gift that we need in our lives.

Let us learn to get into his presence and stay there. Let s walk in a lifestyle of thanksgiving and we shall in victory all our days.

Characteristics Of A Worshipper

Being a child of God and being called a Christian qualifies a person to be a worshipper, whether you have a sweet voice or a horsey voice, whether you can dance or you have CRD (Caucasian Rhythm Disorder) in God’s books you qualify as a worshipper. The name of a person reveals their character and the quality of worship reveals the character of a worshipper .
