Dont Despise Your Past

It’s All In The Past...

Basically modern day worship is what it today because of one man, Kind David. The man whom God considers to be a man after his heart but the very same man was a sinner on a grand level, God looked past that and still loved him.

David was

  • Was born out of wedlock - David wasn't a legitimate child because he wasn't recognized as son by his father Jesse
  • No kingly right - David had no right to the throne he wasn't Jonathan brother or even any Saul's sons. He had no right to be king whatsoever or any birthright
  • No Levitical or priestly background or training.
  • A Shepherd boy - the son of Jesse was a Shepherd and used to start far away from home tending sheep which weren't many.  His brothers say to him “whom have you left with those few sheep”
  • A Cast away from family - his family had no regard for him and they looked down upon him.

David slew Goliath, he won battles, became King, won more battles and he organized Israel to get the Ark of the Covenant from the Philistines plus many more things he did.

"And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him". John 9:2-3 KJV

It was all in his past, David story didn't start when He became King no but it all started the day he was born. Look at the things that David the king with an interesting past with no birthright did

  •  How can we play demons out just by playing an instrument
  • After many years his heart was worship and his passion was to bring the Ark of the Covenant back to Israel and also building a temple for God
  • Organized modern worship and placed instruments into the hands of Levite's.

Don't you despise where you are, God is working it all out, he is using all that you are going through as a place to train who you are. Take a look at your past, look at things that have happened in your life, they are all used to the glory of his name. Keep at it worshipper of God.

For those whom He had called, he had already predestined. God has for it all covered at times it sucks to hear that but He has it all covered. The past, the failures and the present are all for his glory, just like the disciples asked him why this man was blind and Jesus responded that this was done so that the glory of God is seen.

Don’t despise your past He is using it all so that His glory can be revealed, hang on and trust Him

Worship In The Beauty Of His Holiness..
