Prepared to Meet Him, Be Prepared to Worship

Prepared to Meet Him, Be Prepared to Worship

“Success is when opportunity meets preparedness”, I have realized this is true for worship as well, those that meet with God are the prepared ones.

During the time of the exodus of the Israelites in wilderness every time they were told by Moses that God was coming to meet with them, they prepared themselves in Exodus 19:10-11 “And Jehovah said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to-day and to-morrow, and let them wash their garments, and be ready against the third day; for the third day Jehovah will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai”.

The bible uses the word “sanctify” which means appoint, bid, consecrate, dedicate, defile, hallow, holy keep, prepare, proclaim and purify. Those that meet the Maker are the prepared or sanctified ones, some will also say there is grace but when you think about it, when we live our lives in sin and we then expect grace to kick in the last minute because we have a pressing need and we need to get in touch with God. Aren’t we living a lie?

Adam and Eve tried it but it didn’t work, they had an advantage in that God was the one who would come down, “they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.  Genesis 3:8 but they weren’t prepared to meet with God because they had sinned. The point is, all the other days they had sweet fellowship with God because they were prepared to meet with God that they anticipated for the time that they had with God in the garden.

We are putting our hands into the wrong cookie jar if we live as such, banking our lives upon grace and the love of God to cover us.  We are meant to live our lives appointed to bless God, lives that are appointed to live for God, lives that are dedicated to serve God, we need to live our lives purified and clean. The Israelites had to cleanse themselves and also bath and wash their clothes in Exodus 19 so that they could meet with God. What more are we supposed to do today and more so we are not the Israelites?

We are now altars of God which offer continual worship and when we know such we should always be appointed, bid, consecrated, dedicated, undefiled, hallowed, holy, prepared, proclaimed, purified, sanctified to meet and converse with God and have sweet communion with God.

So are you prepared to meet God? So prepare your life

God’s Presence = Worship + Preparedness

Just don’t worship but also expect and be prepared to meet God, that is the reason we worship. To meet and converse with God, so worship with such an understanding and meet with your maker and enjoy his presence.

Worship Him in the Beauty of His Holiness
