Worship and Spiritual Warfare Part 2

In Part 1 of this series Worship and Spiritual Warfare we dealt with the power of worship and its effect in spiritual.  Warfare is effected when God unleashes his power upon us as we worship him in earnestness and with a heart to lift him up, that he falls upon a church, gathering, crusade, team or a cell meeting, wherever God is called He comes and dwells. “When I am lifted up I will draw man unto me” and I inhabit the praises of my people. We know that when you lift up God what happens is that he draws us into his power and anointing then darkness falls away. “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia…. Then said he, knowest thou for what cause I come to thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will show thee that which is noted in the scriptur...

Worship and Spiritual Warfare

Image
Good Day Worshippers Spiritual warfare does not take place when we give or pray but also occurs when we worship God and lift him up,. Whenever God descends or visits he comes with all glory, power, splendour, majesty and holiness. Reading the book of Isaiah 6:1 and Ezekiel chapter 1 they paint a picture of the entourage that God moves with, and how they function in God. “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel,” Psalms 22:3 The word says that “When I am lifted up I will draw man unto me” and it is with such that when God shows up where He is worshipped, where he is lifted up that He displaces evil or darkness. Darkness flees at the very site of God. Most times we do not even know that God has fought for us that warfare has already taken over, God fights for us without us as we worship him. So the basic thing to say is that where God is lifted up, He shows up, and we should anticipate His arrival with gladness because we know that the armies o...

Worship and God's Presence

Image
If we do not see God working in your lives it’s because we are not worshipping aright. We understand that God seats upon the throne and according to Isaiah’s and Ezekiel’s account of his meeting with God … “I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple… And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke”, Isaiah 6: 1-4 “And above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the look of glowing brass, as the appearance of fire, within it round about; from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about” Ezekiel 1: 26-27 If you worship the Lord in spirit and truth then we will see with th...

Worshipping Without Songs or Instruments or a Dance

Image
Good Day Worshippers For a whole two years we have been learning that worship is all about glorifying God, bringing honour, magnifying God. Worship means to honor God, respect God, to exalt God, to serve, to bless God, to prostrate, to sacrifice or give, to be in submission, to bow down and also to adore. Worship is all about glorifying God that is the simplest definition we can put, but we have seen as well that singing is a form of worship. Singing, dancing and playing instruments is a form of expressing our worship to God.   It is not the whole worship but a form, a way to express our worship to God. In the body of Christ today people believe that the 3 praise and 3 worship songs we sing along on a Sunday service is worship. We are satisfied with just 30 minutes of singing along 6 songs and we say that is worship. Think about this a day has 24 hours and a week has 168 hours, so for the 168 hours in our week we only worship for 30 minutes a week. What will we be g...

This is one Song that we have to watch and see what God can do when we allow our lives as worship leaders to become vessels of what God is doing. Worship Him In the Beauty Of His Holiness

Worship by the Fear of Lord. Part 2

Image
Good Day Worshippers We are picking up from Part 1 where we spoke the fundamentals of the fear of the Lord and what it’s all about and in this article we finish it off. So the "fear of the Lord,” is a phrase of the Old Testament which show piety, of which piety means (reverence for or devotion), meaning reverential trust, with hatred of evil. Fear is not something that you wear on and off like a shirt but it’s an attitude that you carry, it is away of life and a lifestyle you live by. Still many today are persuaded that the word fear really means respect. There is a type of superficial respect to God that does not affect how one lives. “There is that fear that is not coupled with love and trust, and therefore can lead only to terror and despair”, such kind of fear only makes you walk in fright maybe God can strike you by lightning. It should not be the case in today’s life where we wait for G...

Worship by the Fear of Lord. Part 1

Worshippers Today it’s one of those topics which people do not want to talk about but let us digress it together and we are talking about the fear of the Lord. The words which fear means properly fear, terror, reverence, or holy fear, seen in Psalms 2:11 and fear also means reverence toward God, piety, religion - in which sense it is often used. The "fear of the Lord,” is a phrase of the Old Testament which show piety, of which piety means (reverence for or devotion), meaning reverential trust, with hatred of evil. Dictionary states that fear is a feeling of great worry or anxiety caused by knowledge of danger. “But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple”, Psalms 5:7 A basic interpretation of this verse would be, in a place of fear (reverence, deep, respect, awe,) I will worship you towards your holy temple. What David looks unto is the state in which he approaches God in, deliberately and knowingl...

How We Worship God In The Beauty Of His Holiness

Image
Good Day Worshippers Holiness and Worship who can comprehend its something we pray so that God may give us the revelation off. “O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness, fear before him, all the earth”, Psalms 96:6. Holiness is the state of being sacred, sanctified, hallowed and it also means purity, Godliness as well as absolute perfection. So how do you worship the Lord in the beauty of his Holiness?   It means you worship or glorify in beauty of his purity, it means you worship the Lord in the beauty of his Godliness; it also means to worship the Lord who is absolute perfection. That is worshipping Him in the beauty of his holiness. So someone will ask this question why do we have to worship God in Holiness, why in Holiness. “Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness” Psalms 97:12 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy”....

Worship Is An Avowal and A Statement

Avowal Is a public statement that something is true, a declaration, worship is a public statement. It is our declaration of our love for God. Worship is our public display of affection (P.O.D). It is our way to show the world and the generations living and yet to live that we worship God. Avowal is our public statement of faith. “One generation shall praise your work to another and shall declare our mighty acts” Psalms 148:4 Worship is a place to proclaim and declare the greatness of God over the earth and over our life. Worship is proclaiming, acknowledging, confessing, testifying, attributing and recognising God’s name as King and God to ourselves and generations. This avowal is not just a statement with strong emphasis but is a word with its strong emphasis based upon reverencing God for who He is. It is not just saying I believe God but that I believe God and revere who He is in my life. ...

The Clearing Effect, Its Caused by Worship

Image
Good Day Worshippers Worship clears, removes and creates a pathway for us to enter into the presence of God. Worship was created as a vehicle to carry us into the presence of God and not for us to worship! The worship but to get us into God’s presence. Worship clears our mind and heart and prepares us for an encounter with God.   Our hearts are like fallow ground and worship acts like the water which saturates the ground or a tractor or plough that prepares the ground for seed. Worship allows us to prepare our lives for us to meet and commune with out father. Worship allows us to refocus and look to God more and more and look less and less from ourselves. Worship clears the way, worship is a spiritual thing and the devil does not like worship at all and he throws so many obstacles and stones on our pathways for us not to worship or distort the worship we give. When we just prostrate our hear...

When We Worship We Empty It Out To God

Good Day Worshippers How many times have you come into the presence of God filled with filth, dirt, huge dark black cloud hanging over you and you are so down but then you worship  God because he is God you allow him a place o move in your life. Such worship by the time you finish worshipping God you feel very light without a burden and free than the way you came. What would have happened is what one man called the beautiful exchange, God took that which weighed you down and replaced it with his beautiful things. We Worship God because we empty out that which weighs us down and God will replace it with His goodness. It is when you worship out of the overflow of your heart that God touches our hearts and lives in a deeper way it is because we have allowed him to be such to us. Worship allows us to empty out that which we carry and it be replaced with the love and presence of God. It is when we leave ou...

Our Response To God Is To Worship

Worship is our grateful and humble response to God, when patriarchs in the bible had an encounter with God their first response of God was to quickly move to worship God as their response. Think about it how do you respond always, when you meet God. “We naturally respond to what we value to the most, Worship is our response to God” “When the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the door of the tent they would rise up and worship every men at his tent door”. Read Exodus 33:10, Exodus 34:8, Judges 7:15. The first thing they would do when hearing the words of God they would bow down or rent their clothes or bow down with their faces to the ground or kneel before God or stand in awe because for them worship was a response they had towards God. Worship is our response both personal and corporately to God. Worship to us is like a reflex action you know how a reflex muscle works and to the people ...
