Worship Equation

Image
In the bible there are few equations (promises) of God that he pronounces such as a +b = c. Today we are doing one. One such verse knocked my socks away and I know it will knock yours away too. “Behold your house is left unto desolate and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me until the time come when you will shall say Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord” Luke 13:35. These were the words of Jesus to the generation of Jews present on the day. So the equation is: Your Worship + Your Declaration = Manifestation of God It’s so simple most of us cry all night long wanting God to come into our lives and change our systems. All you need to do is just stand worshipping God, with a pure heart and declaring that He is God in your life and God will manifest. God does not stay were He is not accepted and where he is asked to dwell he honours it, by abiding there. Until we acknowledge God, until we bless God, until we magnify God, until we worship God, until we glorify god, we...

10 Worship Quotes

Image
Worship is way beyond what we understand or comprehend I pray that God open our eyes to see and understand worship through his eyes 1. “You may bow down in the physical but in your heart you will be standing straight”. Bowing is an expression of what the heart is like, most people think if they bow even with the heart they are worshipping. If worship is done without a heart it becomes a ritual not worship. Bowing before is an expression of the overflow of where your spirit is 2. “Praise isn’t for whimps because its aim is to get Jesus involved in your business”. “When I am lifted up I will draw all man unto me” or “I dwell in the midst of the praises of my people”. When you worship God you summon Him to show up in your life, when offered aright worship attracts God’s attention more than anything” 3. “Worship is not just the heart but attitude, character and service offered to God”. We think if we can say God here is my heart and look aside and we think G...

Power of Lifting Hands in Worship

Image
Some people have attacked me saying we are not supposed to dance, clap lift our hands and bowing is meant for prayer not worship and also other expressions that people use when they worship. I have written this article and I pray that they might understand the power of the lifting hands and its effect. “I will, therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” 1Timothy 2:8 Our hands reading from 1Timothy the Apostle Paul accords that our hands are holy, holy means that they are sacred, sanctified and set apart this is the basic dictionary meaning of holy. Is there power in lifting up holy hands to a Holy God? Think about it. God’s holiness confounds evil and so when we lift up our hands we are coming against evil in all its work against us. The power is released when we lifting up holy hands. “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” Psalms 24:4. David spoke that our...

Worship and Spiritual Warfare Part 4

The bible is so full of a lot of warfare which was summoned by at the hand of worship. Worship and warfare are synonymous and for me, one thing that has stood out as I have been going through this series is that when we worship God, He responds. We have said that worship is our response to God, now we have learnt that God also responds to us when we worship him. One thing I have learnt also is that when we worship in earnestness and focus alone on God lifting Him, telling him of who he is, warfare is done at his hand because he loves us. So in this Part 4 of Worship and Spiritual Warfare we are focusing on the how we can engage our lives in battle and how we can win victories with God on our side. So how do we fight or participate in this war? One of the ways “I will, therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” 1Timothy 2:8 and “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, ...

Worship and Spiritual Warfare Part 3

Image
Part 3 of the series of Worship and Spiritual warfare, what a journey and in this article we continue to look into it.  Spiritual battle, warfare or fighting is engaged into when we worship, we give and when we pray and when we worship God. Worship is one of the things that get God’s attention the moment we start to offer it. Giving doesn’t change God, it changes us, praying and fasting does the same they don’t change God but worship get God’s attention. The devil also knows this that’s is why he is fights us when we worship the creator because he understands the effect that worship has on God, So we continue today in the book of 2 Chronicles my favourite chapter in the bible Chapter 20 “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to-morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.  (18)  And Jehoshaphat bowed his head wit...

Worship and Spiritual Warfare Part 2

In Part 1 of this series Worship and Spiritual Warfare we dealt with the power of worship and its effect in spiritual.  Warfare is effected when God unleashes his power upon us as we worship him in earnestness and with a heart to lift him up, that he falls upon a church, gathering, crusade, team or a cell meeting, wherever God is called He comes and dwells. “When I am lifted up I will draw man unto me” and I inhabit the praises of my people. We know that when you lift up God what happens is that he draws us into his power and anointing then darkness falls away. “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia…. Then said he, knowest thou for what cause I come to thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come. But I will show thee that which is noted in the scriptur...

Worship and Spiritual Warfare

Image
Good Day Worshippers Spiritual warfare does not take place when we give or pray but also occurs when we worship God and lift him up,. Whenever God descends or visits he comes with all glory, power, splendour, majesty and holiness. Reading the book of Isaiah 6:1 and Ezekiel chapter 1 they paint a picture of the entourage that God moves with, and how they function in God. “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel,” Psalms 22:3 The word says that “When I am lifted up I will draw man unto me” and it is with such that when God shows up where He is worshipped, where he is lifted up that He displaces evil or darkness. Darkness flees at the very site of God. Most times we do not even know that God has fought for us that warfare has already taken over, God fights for us without us as we worship him. So the basic thing to say is that where God is lifted up, He shows up, and we should anticipate His arrival with gladness because we know that the armies o...

Worship and God's Presence

Image
If we do not see God working in your lives it’s because we are not worshipping aright. We understand that God seats upon the throne and according to Isaiah’s and Ezekiel’s account of his meeting with God … “I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple… And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke”, Isaiah 6: 1-4 “And above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and upon the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the look of glowing brass, as the appearance of fire, within it round about; from the appearance of his loins and upward, and from the appearance of his loins and downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about” Ezekiel 1: 26-27 If you worship the Lord in spirit and truth then we will see with th...

Worshipping Without Songs or Instruments or a Dance

Image
Good Day Worshippers For a whole two years we have been learning that worship is all about glorifying God, bringing honour, magnifying God. Worship means to honor God, respect God, to exalt God, to serve, to bless God, to prostrate, to sacrifice or give, to be in submission, to bow down and also to adore. Worship is all about glorifying God that is the simplest definition we can put, but we have seen as well that singing is a form of worship. Singing, dancing and playing instruments is a form of expressing our worship to God.   It is not the whole worship but a form, a way to express our worship to God. In the body of Christ today people believe that the 3 praise and 3 worship songs we sing along on a Sunday service is worship. We are satisfied with just 30 minutes of singing along 6 songs and we say that is worship. Think about this a day has 24 hours and a week has 168 hours, so for the 168 hours in our week we only worship for 30 minutes a week. What will we be g...
